2024 Herd Reduction

I am significantly reducing my herd this year. I have decided that in this season of my life, I do not have the time to do shows or performance programs, and while those things do interest me, I simply can't justify the time and expense. Because if this, I no longer need to think about "growing" my herd. I am keeping my pets and a handful of my favorite does, and just two bucks.

All of the goats are registered with ADGA unless stated otherwise. My entire herd was clean-tested most recently in 2022.

I will consider package deals, if you're wanting more than one goat.

These animals are very special to me, and I want them to go to good homes.

A few general policies.

1. I do not sell only one goat to someone without other goats. I do not sell only a buck and a doe to live together.

2. Animals sold as "pet" quality do not come with registration papers.

3. All babies are disbudded UNLESS they are bottle babies sold at a young age.

4. I am happy to help a new goat owner get started. Please refer to my blog for some great information!

5. I occasionally offer discounts if multiple goats are purchased. This is decided on a case by case basis, depending on which goats you are requesting.

6. All goats are healthy when they leave my farm. Moving can be stressful on a goat, as well as changes in feed / environment. I am not responsible for anything that happens to a goat after it leaves my farm, but I am happy to advise if you have trouble.

Bucks for Sale

TUA Farms SP Murtagh Fraser*B- $800

This one is hard to sell. He is SUCH a nice buck, and I would like to see him to go a performance home. Price is negotiable for an experienced performance home. Follow his link for pictures and more info.

R Serenity PE Camo Kat- $400

Camo is 3 years old and very flashy, covered with moonspots. He has an excellent pedigree and lots of Best Udder winners in his near relatives. He is priced lower because he hurt himself about a year ago and has a bit of a limp. I have had him examined by a vet, and several people agree that it doesn't look like CH. He's had it for a year, and it hasn't gotten any worse. Follow his link for more pictures and info.

Senior Does for Sale

PHF HS Lucy Pevensie- $250

Chocolate chamoisee with blue eyes. Lucy is 3 years old and is dry this year (late litter last year). She is an excellent Mama and is easygoing on the milkstand. She's not bottle-baby friendly but she is easygoing and handles well. Her udder is nice for handmilking, decent teat size and capacity. Kids very easily, generally quietly on her own.

PHF JR Lace Doily (Willow)- $250

Gold and white. Sweetest girl, very good mama. She would be really great as a child's show / 4-H project! She is gentle and easygoing. Willow is 4 years old.

PHF MF Fairy Doll- $250

Buckskin and minimal white. Fairy was a 2yo first freshener this year, and she did very well. She started off as an absolute bucking bronco, but she has learned to lead and to behave herself on the milkstand, and she even seeks out affection! She's always had a fun personality. Her udder looked promising! She just had a single baby wether this year, and he can go with her at no extra cost (Silver and white guy listed below)

PHF CK Princess Irene- $250

Princess was also a 2yo FF this year, and she also did well. I really liked her udder, very high and tight! Princess is chamoisee and white with moonspots.

The PHF PC Snow Blossom (F1 Mini Alpine, registered with MDGA)- $250

Snow Blossom's price is negotiable, I want to make sure she goes to a good home where she can live out her days. She is good friends with Willow, so if someone wants to buy Willow, Snow can go along for free. Snow is 8 years old, She has been a faithful girl and so easy to milk. She never had an ounce of trouble giving birth, and never lost a kid until this year. Sadly her kids were all in a tangle and none of the three survived. We went ahead and milked her through this season (Still milking once a day and doing well, could probably amp up if someone wanted to milk twice a day). She's just a very good old queen. She recovered quickly from the bad birth this year, so I think it was a sad fluke.

PHF OMF Goldberry is Waiting- $400

To APPROVED HOME ONLY. Goldberry can also just hang out here, I'm very attached to her. But she's only six, and I have her son as one of my herdsires. She could bless another herd as well. Goldberry is one of the last daughters of Old Mountain Farm Frankincense. If there's someone out there who appreciates who she is and will care for her, I am willing to part with her. She is very friendly (not a bottle baby, but acts like one) and passes this gentle nature on to her kids. She has a nicely-shaped udder. She is currently dry. If you are interested in Goldberry, please contact me and tell me about your farm / herd.

Junior Does for Sale

Blessing- F2 Mini Alpine- $200 ($250 registered with MDGA)

Blessing is a smallish yearling doe, cou blanc. one of Snow's daughters. She is super sweet and has been lovingly brought up. She is smaller than her sister, but is healthy, and I believe is just a slow grower. She is not registered, but can be. I just never got around to doing the paperwork.

Bloom- F2 Mini Alpine- $200 ($250 registered with MDGA)

Bloom is a yearling doe, looks just like Mama Snow. She is gentle and friendly. She is not registered, but can be, I just never got around to doing it. I will offer a discount if Blessing and Bloom can go together.

PHF MF Star Spangled- $300

Star is a long, beautiful bottle baby with a very confident personality. Her mama was one of my favorites to milk. Very smart, too! Star's Pedigree"

PHF MF Turnip- $300

Turnip is a very vibrant chamoisee and white. Mama is Princess Irene. Turnip's Pedigree

PHF MF Fern- $300

Fern is extremely attractive, and I honestly won't be too sad if she doesn't sell. Lovely gold and white doe out of Murtagh and Willow. Not a bottle baby, but friendly. Fern's Pedigree

"Poppy"- $200

Poppy is out of Ysera and probably Murtagh. He got into the breeding pen when Ysera was supposed to be with Whiskey. :P Would need a dna test to confirm and register. I am in the process of getting all my bucks on file, so this is something you could certainly do later and I'd be happy to help you. Poppy is a chocolate cou clair like mama and is a sweetheart. She's not quite ready to leave yet, ready to wean around the beginning of June.

"Daisy"- $200

Daisy is out of Ysera and probably Murtagh. He got into the breeding pen when Ysera was supposed to be with Whiskey. :P Would need a dna test to confirm and register. I am in the process of getting all my bucks on file, so this is something you could certainly do later and I'd be happy to help you. Daisy is Sundgau with minimal white. She's not quite ready to leave yet, ready to wean around the beginning of June.

"Topaz"- $200

Topaz is out of Almar Acres Kik Top Peridot. We think she is Jamie's, but she has a moonspot. Jamie doesn't have any visible moonspots (But he might have some hidden. His grandfather was covered in moonspots). That, and knowing how sneaky my bucks were this year, is enough for me to say "Let's make sure". I am in the process of getting all my bucks dna on file, and would be happy to help you if you decided you wanted to register her later. She is not ready to leave Mom yet, but can go mid-June.

Sawyer is a yearling mini alpine wether. I kept him because he is handsome and sweet, but I don't need so many wethers! He would love to be a pet. He loves people.

Pretty black and white boy. He's a bit skittish, would make a handsome buck companion or weed-eater.

Wether 2- $50

Silver and white boy. He can go for FREE with his Mama Fairy Doll, or you can wait until he's weaned at the beginning of June.
